In 2023, we will celebrate 150 years of cable cars AND the 40th anniversary of the first Historic Trolley Festival that led to the permanent F-Market & Wharves vintage streetcar line.
We couldn’t have turned the vision of the F-line into reality, nor would we be able to organize the celebration of the sesquicentennial of cable cars without the support of thousands of members and donors all these years.
Thank you all for your help.
But we cannot take the streetcars, and even the cable cars, for granted in the next few years. Both local and national news stories highlight the tough fiscal times San Francisco’s government faces. That’s why it’s critical for us to reinforce the value of the streetcars and cable cars to the economy of San Francisco, so that the City will keep funding adequate service.
