Description

San Francisco has a wonderful baseball tradition, and for most of baseball’s history in the city-by-the-bay, fans took streetcars to get there. In fact, when Muni was brand new, one of the first extensions it built was a few blocks of track south on Masonic Avenue from Geary to reach Ewing Field in 1914, then the tops in ballpark design. Today, the Giants’ AT&T Park is considered one of the greatest baseball parks in the world, and it’s reachable by both Muni light rail lines and the vintage E-Embarcadero streetcar service. We created a poster in our Vintage Travel Series, by artist David Dugan, to celebrate baseball and streetcars, featuring a streetcar of the type that use to serve Seals Stadium on the 22-Fillmore line. (We rescued that streetcar, the 798 from destruction, and are now working to get it restored and operating again). This evocative image is now available in this 12″ x 14″ 100% cotton gusseted tote bag.  Premium quality construction with a 7″ x 10″ image of a classic San Francisco scene. Durable fabric and machine washable.
