Description

Conductors were (and still are) an integral part of the operation of vintage streetcars. Even such famous figures as Dr. Maya Angelou, began their working careers as streetcar conductors. Conductors are responsible for operational and safety duties that do not involve actual operation of the streetcar. In the old days making change, taking fares, punching tickets, giving directions, assisting with boarding and signalling the motorman (operator) it was safe to go, were all part of the conductor’s duties. Pin is 1.5″ x 0.5″ with post & clasp back.
