Offered here is an authentic White Front Patent Plate for our namesake the Market Street Railway Company, which manufactured their own streetcars in their San Francisco shops. To make their cars more visible in inclement weather, the fronts of the streetcars were painted white and the patent plate was attached at the lower left front of the car, hence the name “White Front” cars. Cast in solid brass from an original MSRy plate and never used, these replicas are painted in the same white color applied to the original cars, with the tops of the letters burnished for visibility. Supply is limited.
